Southwest Energy is an alluvial gold explorer and miner. It is a privately owned company with operations on the West Coast of the South Island.

Southwest holds a suite of permits that enable it to operate the Butlers alluvial mining operation north of Ross. It is also looking to develop a mine at Squatters Creek on the West Coast.
